Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.
1 CORINTHIANS 2:9
Early in the year, I spoke to you about how the Lord had given us 1 Corinthians 2:9 as a promise for 2011. Now that this year is drawing to a close, I can’t help but reflect on the good things that God is doing through all of us here at Lakewood Church.
Whether through our television broadcast and mission outreaches around the world, our Night of Hope events across the country, or right here at home with Servolution and various ministry projects, this church is reaching more people now than ever. 2011 truly has been an amazing year.
I recognize that there is no such thing as a church built on the shoulders of one man or even one family. Without you, there would be no Lakewood. Without your giving, your attendance and your time, this church would be nothing more than an empty shell. The incredible staff, amazing volunteers and cheerful givers at Lakewood Church are the ones making everything possible.
Victoria and I want to thank you for your continued faithfulness to Lakewood and its mission. Heading into the end of the year, we know many of you catch up on your tithes during this season, and I hope that you will consider making a special gift toward our beautiful facility and the many outreaches of Lakewood Church to help those in need.
Let’s run our race with perseverance and finish 2011 strong. Your faithfulness stirs the heart of God. When you stay passionate about lifting those around you, that’s when God will breathe in your direction and the seeds of greatness in you will begin to take root and flourish in your life.
I am so excited and believe that 2012 is going to be a year of great here at Lakewood and around the world as we share the hope of Jesus.
Thank you so much for being a vital part of the Lakewood family.
Believing for great things in 2012,
Joel & Victoria
P.S. Please consider giving a special, year-end gift above and beyond your tithe. Also, I hope you’ll join Victoria and me the first two weekends of the new year at Lakewood for a time of celebration and to start the year off right. We are anticipating the great things God is going to do in 2012. Thank you and God bless.
